  • Started StudioFit Scottsdale 8/2016 with several other refugees from another gym we had been at. Loved the trainers, loved the classes, but then things started going downhill. Trainers left, the format changed, members bailed, etc. A strong group of us were still hanging in until we got a 2 week notice that the gym was closing DEC 31. Not that big of a surprise, since the Scottsdale location had felt like a red-headed step child for a long time. All the love (and new equipment, parties, events, competitions, etc.) had been going to the Ocotillo site. With more than a week to go, we find that the owner had come and taken away all the equipment while the manager was out. To her credit, we continued with classes for a week with no equipment. And then I get charged $19.41. HUH? The way the owner conducts business and treated his loyal customers is appalling. He is lacking in any care or concern for his members or any sense of business ethics or professionalism. Meanwhile, the Ocotillo location parties away with an expanded schedule and supposedly a new location under construction.
