| - This was the most luxurious, most beautiful, hotel I had ever stayed in, and I've been to some great hotels. Even so, their service lacked a bit, and I've enjoyed better amenities, comps, and freebies, at lesser hotels.
I had to call for face towels several times throughout my stay. The room wasn't properly stocked to accommodate two guests. I also had to request another robe for my husband, which should have already been in the room as I indicated upon booking that there would be two guests. I also indicated that this was my birthday trip and expected a small token of appreciation from the hotel or casino, seeing as though I spent over $2000 on my stay. They charge a $29 resort fee, I guess because it's pretty, because I didn't even get a mint on my pillow. Additionally, there was no HBO, nor any other premium channels available on the television, which I found outrageous, as that amenity is offered in even cheapest of motels. I only got basic local cable. There's no coffee maker in the room, no fridge, nor mini fridge to store delicious leftovers from their restaurants, and no microwave in the room either!!!
I did not enjoy as a luxurious stay as I had planned. However, the room and facilities were gorgeous. I also expected the pools to be open later. They closed at seven, which was really early in Vegas time.
The gondola ride was the world to me. The gondolier sang happy birthday to me in Italian. Priceless. The wax museum was great. We also ate at several restaurants in the hotel that were awesome. Delicious food, though over priced at times. We ate at one cheapo breakfast buffet in the downstairs food court that was disappointing. The food was ice cold and not very tasty otherwise.
I loved the place, and it is definitely a must see, but I would probably stay elsewhere on my next visit to Vegas. Don't get me wrong, this place is amazing, the product just isn't worth the price.
