| - There are only two particular occasions by which I stop to eat here.
The first is when we are attending a performance at the Herberger Theater, and we need a good place to grab a bite afterwards.
The other is when it's First Friday in downtown Phoenix, and we eat here before we do our Art Gallery tours.
I don't really have any restaurants in the Arizona Center that I am particular fond of, and the others that are within walking distance have varying levels of food quality and service.
The food is more than adequate, not particularly spectacular, but it is the service and atmosphere that draws us to this place. We like how spacious it is, and the semi-elegant look that is in keeping with the Sheraton Hotel's motif is particularly enticing.
The Calamari and the Hummus are great for starters. It doesn't take them long to deliver these, so if you're famished; I would suggest you open up with these appetizers.
For the Main Entrees, the Salmon and Herb Roasted Chicken have been consistently flavorful. And if you are in the mood for a steak, I would recommend ordering the Big Sky Ribeye, as it is quite appetizing.
Again, on a scale from 1-10, the food here is a 6.5-7.5. But, with the dearth of other better options, The District is not a bad alternative.
There is the 1130 restaurant in the Arizona Center, but so far; that place hasn't quite delivered as far as we're concerned.
