  • Living in the desert has it advantages (low cost of living, no snow, you can carry guns, great pizza etc) but it also has its disadvantages (higher electric bills, car tires and batteries don't last worth a shit, scorpions etc). Tires and batteries last about 2-3 years on average due to the extreme "living on the sun" type heat we have here. It was time for some new tires for my wifes CRV. She ordered them online, paid for them and then scheduled an appointment for Saturday morning. Woke up Saturday morning, and totally forgot about the appointment! We called Discount Tire and told them of our dilemma, and they said to just bring the car in whenever we could, and they should be able to get us taken care of pretty quick. I drove down, checked in and took a seat. It took a little bit of time (probably about an hour) for them to get to my car, but once they did, they installed the tires and had everything ready in about 20 minutes. I thought it was actually going to take longer than it did. Props to them for getting us taken care of so fast! Prices were good, service was friendly and I was very happy with my experience here. They have a comfy waiting room with free bottles of water and they are also right next to Culvers if you want something to eat while you wait. Odds are, that when I need new tires on my Corolla, I will be coming here to get them.
