Stopped here today around noon for a quick meeting and the place was packed with no open tables or empty seats. Your choices to sit are on comfy loungy sofa areas or in seats available where the rectangular "community," farm tables are located. No matter where I looked the only two spaces available were at one of the community tables. Most of the seat groupings were occupied by millennials using their laptops and acting busy but always managed to look up when someone interesting walked through the door.
Quaintly decorated with original art (you can pay to display your work) the place had a small but promising menu and the aroma of the coffee was inviting. The front counter staff was nice and friendly and we placed a simple order of an Americano and a cappuccino. Nothing fancy and nothing specialty about it. The only thing we requested was for the coffee to come extra hot.
It took about 10 minutes before we were served our order and by the time we picked up and sat back down at one of the community tables, and took a sip of the coffee, the coffee turned out to be lukewarm. Nothing is worst then paying $8.00 for two lukewarm almost cold coffees.
Coffee tasted acidic and had a strange after taste. Maybe it's because it was cold? Normally I would of asked for the coffee to be made again, extra hot like I wanted it but since I was there for a meeting I didn't want to make a fuss and just took baby sips of the coffee until the meeting was over.
Anyways, it's a cool place to hang out and people watch but as far as the coffee, I'll pass on it and try the iced tea next time. After all, iced tea is hard to mess up.
