  • Donuts. Doughnuts. How do you spell them? A doughnut by any other name would taste as sweet. Let me holla at ya, Yelp! Dee's Donuts is where it is at. Luckily, this is my neighborhood shop and is literally just a couple minutes drive away from me. I tend to frequent this shop in the early morning hours, when the donuts are fresh. I'm sure later in the day they are tasty as well, but let's keep it real, fresh donuts are better. Go early. First, the shop is clean and cute. You don't want to get your fix at a dirty donut shop. Just no. Anyway, on top of the clean shop, the employees are very nice and attentive. Even when there is a line, they greet me and they let me know they will be right with me. I appreciate that because there's nothing worse than standing around being ignored and feeling like you made a mistake taking your cash monies to a business. So, they acknowledge your existence and they move quickly. When I've gone, there are usually two or three employees and they are working that counter efficiently(yes!) Donuts are delish! I've tried the lemon and raspberry filled, the chocolate with sprinkles, the long John chocolate, and today I tried the blueberry. All of the donuts have been amazing. Really. They are slightly crisp on the outer and soft and fluffy on the inside. Perfection. I have to say that the blueberry is my new favorite and I want to marry it. I did order a vanilla cappuccino today and it's your run of the mill Insta-cappuccino like at the gas station. Nothing special, but it got me my caffeine and sugar fix, and besides I didn't go here for the drinks. No stars removed because the donuts are the bomb. Prices are very fair and they give you two free donut holes in your bag. I always eat them on the way home(yes, in two minutes time. Don't judge me.) This is the best donut shop I've ever been to that isn't one of those fancy, artisan donut establishments. These are amazing classic donuts at great prices with outstanding customer service. Dee's Doughnuts has my sugar heart.
