Brought my vehicle in on Sunday, April 2nd, to have a tire repaired after running over a bolt. The technician broke off my tire pressure sensor when he took the tire off of my rim. I have since been informed it was due to him placing the tire on the debeading machine incorrectly. At no time did anyone at PepBoys tell me that the cost of replacing the broken sensor would be on them. In fact just the opposite was implied. They stated that they did not have the tire pressure sensor in stock. Since they did not have one and I needed my vehicle back I had them place a standard air valve in the tire. I ordered a sensor from Amazon and had a different company install the sensor, which they did for free. Typically I have had great service at Pep Boys, though this was my first experience at this location.
