I love this Hertz location because it is much cheaper than renting at PHX, but also for the inevitable entertaining drama at pickup and dropoff. I think we've rented here at least the last three Christmases. Each time when I entered to pick up our car another customer has been at the counter peeved about something. This year a lady drove in on a completely flat tire, and she was upset they needed to charge her a no-fault fee of $38. She yelled and swore she wasn't responsible (I saw it - it was totally flat - I don't know how she drove in on it without wrecking the wheel). When I left shortly thereafter with exactly the car I reserved (with only 1400 miles on the odometer) at exactly the price quoted, she was calling AAA to come change the tire so she could try to get some air in the flat one and avoid the charge. I thought she was nuts - pay the small fee and move on! Last year it was another couple upset about not getting the make and model car they wanted. I don't remember the problem the year before that. Personally, I haven't had a problem, but I do worry that at this point we're due. Still, until then, full speed ahead.
