| - We just moved here after living in Henderson for a year. Truth be told, I would not have rented this place. My friend did but only made one visit before deciding. BIG mistake! I feel so trapped being here therefore, this will be a bit long to ensure you get a realistic visual. They call it a luxury apartment, it is NOT! The pipes in my sink make a horrible banging sound EVERY time we turn it on and this is after they fixed them. I have not even been here a week and maintenance has been here twice already. Sweet older man but.... The place was absolutely filthy when we moved in. I'm still cleaning! It's not stuff laying on the floor but blackish sludge in the cracks of the cabinets walls and floors. Sticky stuff all over the counters, baseboards covered in dirt and the outside smells like urine once the sun comes out. All of this I could deal with since I prefer to clean things my way anyways. Unfortunately, it's the things I have no control over that make this place unacceptable. There is a group of 10-20 teenagers that run around screaming at the top of their lungs. Yes, they are laughing and having fun BUT they are using language that is definitely not appropriate for children no matter the age. I am younger with a couple young children so I want my children socializing with kids their own age so I encouraged them to go meet the neighbor kids. Nice kids! Smart, respectful and they play nice together. Well, these two little boys inform me that they are no longer allowed to play outside because a couple kids in the group of teenagers dragged them around the corner and beat them up. The kids father stopped the beating but said he didn't want any trouble from calling the police!! WHAT????? People say their property gets damaged or they are threatened if and when they say anything about their children or their own behavior. The mentality of some of the residents is worrisome at best. It seems these teenagers are allowed if not encouraged to intimidate smaller children. The two boys were ages 7 and 8. The teenagers were 12 and up. I witnessed them checking car doors and entering the ones that were unlocked. I watched one boy take a bike off a porch and run away with his friend laughing.(could have been a simple prank) In the few days I've been here, I tried talking to them and alone each of them seemed like good kids but when they got together, they only wanted to impress each other. Its a big problem and the property manager gave a look like he didn't believe me. Thankfully I carry a video recorder. I have never seen kids so aggressive for no apparent reason but it is a MAJOR concern for me. As for me and my children, we will be breaking our lease. GoodLuck to all of you living here!
