The Fiesta Inn is in a good location if you have anywhere to get to quickly... Tempe... Scottsdale... Phoenix.
They have a 24 hour shuttle that will take you anywhere within 5 miles.
Other pluses? They have a heated pool that is open "late" for adults and until 10 p.m. for kids. They have a good housekeeping staff that keeps the rooms tidy and clean. Their lobby has some neat Arizona artwork.
Drawbacks? The resort IS aging and is in need of some cosmetic repairs and upgrading. The pool is starting to crumble, especially near the steps and edges. This is a problem with children, especially, who tend to congregate near the steps.
This resort was very relaxing for my two night stay. Usually hotel beds are either awful or fantastic. The bed was actually comfier than my bed at home, despite it not being anything fancy.
One thing to note: the curtains do not slide all the way past the ENTIRE window. This means you cannot black out the light completely. This is not a problem for me directly, but it IS a problem for my daughter. As soon as she sees light coming in a window, she thinks it is time to wake up. That means it is a problem for me INdirectly! I hate waking up with the sun. On days I am in a hotel, I prefer to "sleep in."
If you can get a deal and need a relaxing night's sleep, why not try the Fiesta?
P.S. The pictures are VERY flattering on their website. That said, they really do have a nice, partially shaded pool area.
