  • 3.5 stars for slightly overpriced but still delicious bubble tea. It was a rainy day and I just finished dinner. I wanted to try some bubble tea in Toronto's Chinatown and saw Royaltea across the street. In an attempt to escape the rain, I ran inside and was greeted with a warm cozy atmosphere with soft lighting. They have an extensive menu, so be prepared to spend some time deciding! I ended up getting the "lightbulb drinks", one with matcha and one regular. If you stay in the store they will give you glass light bulbs but if you leave its plastic bulbs. The people who took my order did not seem to really understand English so there was a slight language barrier. Nevertheless, I got the drink I wanted! Royaltea is good for instagramming your drinks because they have a huge lit-up sign of their logo up on the wall. Overall, I'll come back next time I'm in Toronto! *They have outlets on the wall if you need to charge your phone :)
