I found the sales staff to be rude and disrespectful. I visited the store twice and both times I had a bad experience. The young sales girls should be taught to treat their customers with respect and do their job properly.
Last time I went to pick up an order. The girl at the counter asked for my last name 3 times while searching for the items. I had to say my last name 3 times (although it is a very simple name), and each time raising my voice so the entire store can hear my name. She then asked for a piece of ID. I gave her my driver license and she went away with it to search for my order. When she finally found my order, she then wrote the order number on a piece of paper and asked me to print my name, add the date in and sign for my order. I was in a hurry, and I asked her why is that she did not print my name and and add the date beside the order number, so I could quickly sign and be out of the door. Her answer was: "this is our policy". Really?? MEC has a policy such policies? So, I wrote down my name and the date and signed for the order. I then asked the girl to open the box for me, so I could check if everything is okay with the items I ordered, so I don't have to make another trip to the store in case I needed to to return any of the items. She looked at me surprised that I had the audacity to ask her to open the box. She opened the box with a visible frustration, and immediately invited the next customer to the counter. I quickly check the items in the box and politely said "thank you" looking at her and left saying 'bye'. She looked at me with frustration and said nothing. As I was walking out the store I was thinking that something must be wrong with this picture....I paid a membership so I can buy from their store and when I do so I am being treated with insolence...this is awesome business model MEC!!
