  • Bottom line: The Kannapolis Amtrak station is a quaint and well maintained station that serves this town well. It matches the charm of the town, and has all that the train passenger would need. I am a fan! The Deets: I've had a chance to use the Kannapolis Amtrak station a few times. It's a nice little train station that compliments the town that it serves as well as offers convenience to the traveler. The Kannapolis Amtrak depot is a quaint little station, nice brick building with plenty of parking adjacent to it right on Main Street. Inside and out, it is very clean and well maintained. There is a moderate sized sitting area with benches, as well as the ticket window available for transactions as well. The waiting area does offer drink/snack machines as well if you have the munchies while waiting. The bathrooms are well kept and very clean. Outside at the train side area, there are nicely groomed flower/plant areas with a well maintained access area with a cover/roof over it. Overall, it provides a nice point of departure and arrival for Amtrak passengers visiting the Kannapolis area.
