This was a fun place to visit on our brief trip through Pittsburgh. We enjoyed walking around the fish market, checking out what was fresh, as well as seeing the grocery store side.
We ate lunch from the hot bar area, which was delicious but not the healthiest thing. I got a po'boy with shrimp, coleslaw and chips on the side. We also tried the lobster mac and cheese. The portions are huge and I don't think I was hungry for dinner until MUCH later that night.
The seating area is up some stairs and surprisingly big. There are signs everywhere indicating that they hope you have a pleasant experience and to let someone know if things aren't tidy. An employee was putting fresh sheets of brown paper on the tables and wiping everything up. There were also several different condiment and flatware stations.
I love that we stopped by this long-standing Pittsburgh gem. I just probably picked up a piece of fruit of something from the grocery section to go with my meal! ;)
