  • I was so disappointed in Lower Gear! Every time I spoke to them, they had a different story as to having/not having the equipment I wanted to rent. They don't even know what they have in their store!! I called to make sure they had the car top carrier that I needed before I went to pick it up, and I got 2 different stories as to not being sure if they had 2 to I THINK I HAVE THE ONE, LET me check.....I couldn't believe it. They ended up finding it in their warehouse. I picked up my Car Top Carrier that I thought I could use for the top of my car, not having a rack on top, to travel to California. I was assured that it would work by Dallas. First of all it was handed to me rolled up in a ball, obviously not cleaned or cared for the last time it was used. I took it home to try to attach to my car, and it didn't work. I took it back the next morning. I was told I would not get refunded for my 25.00 because they were going to have to clean it! I will NEVER go back, and I will let everyone I know, not to use the store. Very poorly run!
