  • I had a very unfortunate experience with Handy Manny. I have to conclude he is a fraud. He helped to do some upgrade services for a home that I planned to sell. The original set of services met my expectations and he delivered on time and on budget. After that it went downhill. He collected $2400 for a door that was never installed. He claimed that he ordered the wrong door and had to eat the costs. He wanted time to return the money. I allowed that and further asked him to complete some more minor work so his debt can be offset. He was very tardy and did not complete the work until I took him to task. Additionally he claimed to have completed the work (I live in another city and took his word) but when the property was inspected all the work he claimed to have completed was cited as non-complete. I tried to get a hold of him but he did not respond to phone, texts or emails. I had to pay another company $1500 to complete all the repairs. So i not only lost 2400 but also had to pay 1500 for the work he claimed he completed. I would strongly advice against hiring him.
