  • A carnivore's delight! I've never gone to a butcher to get my grillin' meats before. Usually I'd hit up the local grocery store, grab something from the meat section, and fire up the propane. But the BF informed me about his local butcher shop. Typically he and his family pre-order steaks, burgers, sausage, pork chop, and other various yummines for the month from Weiss. This month he made a quick trip to see the specials and I decided to go along... my world has been forever changed. HOLY MEAT, Batman!! Pick out a cut, they'll slice it up for you. And no, there's no cows hanging from the ceiling or anything. Nothing resembling an animal... just the tasty protein they provide. If you have a big order, they recommend calling and pre-ordering. If you're just looking to check things out and pick up a few steaks, they offer that option too. They operate with the ticket system- Grab one and wait for your number to be called. During the weekends it can get pretty busy, but if you pre-order, you can typically walk in, grab your pre-order ticket (yes they operate on different numbers) and get out quickly. When you see a busy butcher shop, you know they're doing something right. Did I mention that they're cheaper than your local grocery store? Yeah... there's that perk too. If you love a juicy steak, a sizzling burger, succulent sausage, crispy chicken wing, or whatever makes your tummy rumble, check out Weiss Meats and get your grill on.
