| - I've been here a couple of times and it was all during their happy hour except for the one time, we had it during lunch. You know what that means?! This review is solely based on those times! Happy hour is everyday from 4-6 pm and for lunch, they have pretty good specials available.
First and foremost, I do suggest sitting at the bar. I normally prefer sitting at tables but the bar at Soho is amazingly spacious. It was perfect. I'm not elbow to elbow with some random ass creeping stranger :P!
I've had their salmon avocado roll, firecracker roll, some appetizers, and their tadas. Their tadas are quite interesting cause it's a fusion mix of flavors on top of crispy rice and they're $1 each during happy hour so you can potentially try them all. The fish on those aren't particularly that great. Sometimes, they're actually mushy ...So they're nothing really all that special tbh but fun to try.
They put a good amount of salmon in their salmon avocado roll, which surprises me. It's so simple yet so delicious. I mean, for like $4, I'll take it! The firecracker roll has a really nice blend of flavors ranging from a little sweet, a little creamy, and a little spicy. One of the most memorable moments was when we ordered one of the rolls and we requested it to be spicy, the chef gave us some of his house made ghost chili sauce. I LOVE spicy foods and boy did this sauce hit the spot. Just a tiny dab with the chopstick is all I need to set my tongue on fire....it burns so good and so delicious. Try it if you dare ;) I swear...ghost chili is sweet.
Another favorite is their black miso cod in lettuce. It's pretty good except sometimes, I feel that their cod gets a little overcooked...still good nonetheless.
Oh and don't forget the lychee infused sake. It completes your happy hour night for sure!
