  • Ehhh... I have mixed feelings about the public art installment near Vegas titled "Seven Magic Mountains." The symbolism is definitely interesting: "natural vs artificial," however, the reference to "magic" is a bit lost on me. Physics is not magic. Maybe to some people, but who are they? Ugo Rondinone, the artist, is Swiss so perhaps "magic" and "magnificent" or some other "mag" word got lost in translation. Then there's the reference to "mountains." Okay, now I'm just being a prick.... If you're into photography, selfies, and/or art in public places, then make the short trip outside of Las Vegas. 2018 Challenge #101
