A cozy little TPL situated in the cute neighborhood of Yorkville, right between the firehall and a small park. What a story book street!
The selection of books is limited due to the size of the branch, but there are four main sections: Media, Adult fiction, Children's and LGBTQ. There are a few tables throughout the library but it is usually full of parents and older folks reading newspapers. There are a few computer stations as well - pretty sure you have to book them in advance because there never is an opening. There are some quiet study rooms in the back of the library as well... if you can manage to score an empty table (saw a few empty ones this weekend!), you could have quite a pleasant study party... Oh, student days!
And have you checked out the self check-out kiosks at TPL these days? Boy, have they upgraded since my childhood library days!
Need to mention: shorter hours on Friday and Saturday, closed on Sundays.
