The sign boasts that Winston Churchill is "a City within a park" and I would say that that is pretty accurate. Since Sam G. has done a great job describing the park I will focus my review on the primary reason I make the walk to WC, the dog park subdivision.
The entrance areas to the fenced in dog area were recently improved with concrete pads, making coming and going on mucky days much more pleasant. The entrances have the double gate system with, as other dog owners know, makes releasing the hounds much easier. The fenced in area itself is huge, maybe the size of a football field? There are a couple benches for humans and also a shaded area by the tennis courts. Best part is that the area is covered in grass!
Outside the off-leash area there are lots of other places to go walking with a dog, including down the ravine and along the path towards Loblaws.
One minus is the drinking fountain, complete with dog bowl at bottom, is outside the fenced area.
Parking along that stretch of St. Clair W is dicey depending on time of day so I'd recommend walking there if you can.
