| - A wonderful lobby bar that serves up some of the best cocktails I've had the pleasure of tasting! I've been here on several occasions and have never left disappointed. (Let's keep that trend going, please.)
Located right next to the check-in room at The Cromwell, Bound serves up some excellent concoctions in a swanky, sexy, classy environment. There is a live singer sometimes, although I can't seem to figure out the timing.
My favorite and go-to specialty cocktail is the Breakfast Martini, which is a mix of gin, orange marmalade, citrus zest and Cointreau (fancy shmancy triple sec). A few of those and you'll need to be dragged away from the bar. I also tried my friend's Spicy Fifty (vodka, elderflower, lime juice and chili peppers) which was interesting but I'm just not a fan of spicy drinks.
My most recent visit was earlier this month (Jan 2016) and they now have a book-BOUND menu which is pretty neat and has all of the explanations and history of Salvatore Calabrese, the mixologist whose menu is served up at this bar.
Besides the cocktails, there is a decent selection of well drinks, draft beers and wine. The bartenders are very friendly and interesting to strike up conversations with! There is bar seating as well as several lounge tables/chairs.
