  • I've lived here for two years and the only reason why I renewed my lease the second year was because the first year was an amazing experience for a first time renter-The first year (July 2014), everything seemed great other than the 2 unnecessary noise complaints we received from our downstairs neighbors for "watching tv too loud." The second year the lease was renewed was with a new roommate and that's when things seemed to take a turn for the worst. Let's start off by mentioning I was in building J. The units in that building are towards the back of the property which I loved because it wasn't a high traffic area and everyone pretty much kept to themselves. The only thing I wanted to complain about was how we were late on a rent payment once by one day and they revoked access to online pay which forced my roommate and myself to inconveniently have to pay the rest of our rent for the remaining of the year with a money order and hand deliver it. We asked if we can gain access to online pay and they said they fixed it but every month it was the same issue. Because we assumed we were able to pay online but were not, we were charged with another late fee because the office was closed the day after rent was due. Usually complexes give you a grace period- my first year, they waived the fee for my old roommate. The second year they didn't. So I guess they're choosy of whom they'd like to honor that luxury to. (Just know they have the power to do so and if they tell you otherwise, they are lying!) Now despite all of this, we remained pleasant tenants. Moving out was such a hassle! We cleaned the place from top to bottom and our move out invoice was ridiculous! They charged us a 350 unauthorized pet fee for a dog we rescued off the street and kept until we were able to reunite it with its owners the next evening. Not knowing this dog was a nervous wreck, we kept him enclosed in one of the bedrooms and he tried to dig his way out, uprooting a piece of the carpet. Because of this, they supposedly had to replace all the carpet in the unit and prorated the cost for the year we lived there which totaled out to 600 dollars give or take. Plus an extra 80 for "sealing the floor." I asked for invoices but they said they haven't changed the carpeting in the unit yet due to no ones interest in moving in any time soon. Yet we are expected to pay for carpet that hasn't even been accounted for?! Ridiculous! All they care about is money and the tenants they choose to care about. Be cautious in considering on moving here and be sure to ask all questions you have on the leasing contracts. The only thing I'll miss about this place is the smell of the front office and the amazingly, friendly maintenance crew!
