I recently got into asian style noodles like Soba and Udon and wanted to make them at home however they are a challenge to find at your average grocery store, so i thought I would try this asian market.
As I walked in the door the first thing I noticed was the smell which was a cross between bad fish and bad meat and while I normally would turn around and walk out, I had a mission so onwards I went.
I noticed a large produce section with many asian vegetables ranging from bok choy to stuff that was brand new to me and overall it didn't look to bad (by the way I used to be a produce manager)
Eventually I found the noodles and there was a HUGE selection with many types from around the world and all different sizes.
In looking at the rest of the store there appears to be a large selection of Asian items of every kind and if you want rice by the huge bag, its piled to the ceiling near the checkouts in a wide variety of types.
Oh and the lady at the checkout was one of the unhappiest looking people I have seen in awhile and didn't say a word to me and pointed at the display as her way of asking for money.
So...here's my summary... Its a great spot for Asian ingredients and dry goods and maybe even produce... but with the smell, I am not sure about buying meat or fish here.
