  • 'Mamie' means grandmother and 'Clafoutis' is a baked french dessert w/ fruit. I walked away with half a dozen of the almond & chocolate croissants --which were honestly the best croissants I have ever had. There is space upstairs to sit and enjoy your baked goods as well as a glass ceiling to watch the bakers in motion. **Americans beware** unfortunately, mamie clafoutis does not accept MasterCard or Visa. Instead, Canadian currency, Canadian credit/debit cards are accepted. Luckily, there are a couple ATMs within minutes of this bakery. If you are in the area and have a soft spot for delicate croissants, do not miss an opportunity to stop by.
