Came by here last Thursday with my husband to check out this bakery because of the overall 4 star rating on yelp (at the time of this review) and that we were in the area (thank you fellow yelpers again).
When we 1st came in here, we walk towards the display case and looked around to see what we should each get. Shortly afterwards, an employee asked if we were ready to order. I told her that this was our 1st time here and so we wanted to just look around 1st. She was friendly and told us to let her know when we are ready to order. We ended up ordering a lemon bar ($2.25, prior to tax) & a peanut butter puddle cookie ($2.50, prior to tax). We also got an iced coffee for free with yelp check in. The lemon bar tasted fresh and had a nice lemon flavor. The peanut butter puddle is a tasty tender peanut butter cookie with a bit of chocolate in the middle. I liked the cookie and thought it was a great size for 1 person (well I did share a bit with my husband).
While we were here, we poached off the free wifi (password protected, you can ask for the password, which I have forgotten what it is). Around 1 pm, it started to get a bit busier as people were waiting in line to order. I saw that some people ordered salads (that looked really big in the big bowls they are served in) and sandwiches. Next time I am out here, I would definitely want to try their salad and sandwiches next time.
Parking here was pretty easy. This place is located in the same plaza as Target and Petco. To find this specifically, Layers Bakery Cafe is located right next to a spa salon and Subway.
