  • I found this place on Yelp recently when I was in Vegas with my boyfriend. After watching a show, we got hungry, well I wasnt hungry but he was and so I suggest that we should go to Izakaya and grab something light. This place had the best review and it was the closest. I really liked how small this place was. Thats because if its too bug, it gets too loud and I cant even hear myself talking. That bothers me a lot. Like Hondaya in LA, I have to scream to talk to friends and I can barely hear what theyre saying so, who enjoys that right? Their menu was very extensive like many other Izakayas. I know yakitori/skewers are people's favorite but we skipped all that and just ordered a few dishes that caught our attention. When I go to Izakaya, I always start with Takowasa. I dont know why but thats just my thing. I love raw food and so Takowasa is just raw octopus smothered in light wasabi. Its very good and you cant never go wrong with this! Then we started ordering other dishes and one of them was Uni Chawanmushi. Its a very delicate egg dish. Its steamed egg eith some shitake mushroom tooped with uni. It was really soft and flavor was wonderful. Though I dont eat Shitake mushroom, its flavor wasnt too strong so I was able to eat them fine. But I let boyfriend eat the mushroom itself, haha. Second dish we ordered was what, Zaru Soba? Haha, I love soba and I thought it was a better choice than Uni Pasta or other noodle dishes they had on the menu. It was a small portion but enough to share with the boyfriend. We ended up asking for another dipping sauce so it was easier for us to eat it on our own dipping bowl. Boyfriend ordered the House Fried Rice. It was very good. It's one of those fried rice you cant really dislike. Just egg and scallion - - thats all you needed to have that great flavor. I really enjoyed it but I can make this home better, hehe. I think thats all I had that night. We were pretty full from eating them because before the show, we pigged out at a buffet like crazy! It was good food with good ambiance. Price was just right and service was pretty good in general except when they brought out zaru soba, they gave us an empty dipping bowl. I told them it was empty and they couldnt believe it as if I was lying. Why would I lie about that?! All in all, food was great and I would probably frequent this place if I lived here. Will come again with friends next time I visit Vegas!
