| - I'm not the first to say this, but I have had more issues here than anywhere else with apartment living.
To be honest, this is a beautiful property. But not nearly nice enough to pay what myself and other residents pay due to the poor treatment by management.
Since management has changed three times now, we have had nothing but issues that you would never expect to come across in apartment living. The fire alarm has gone off multiple times. We had a serious candle fire on the first floor earlier last summer, it took out more than half the first wing. I live on the first floor and came home to panicked residents who told me someone's unit on the first floor was on fire, My heart was racing as I was racing to make sure my pets were okay. I was blessed that it wasn't my unit, but I wished the situation was handled better. It was a very traumatizing experience for al of us. Since then, there has been so many times the fire alarm will go off for no reason and residents freak out with their children and their pets, and evacuate the building. As soon as they do, the alarms stop. It's so unacceptable.
Then we have also encountered with a possible gas leak. One day I turned on my stove and the gas was turmed off. I called the leasing office to ask what was going on, they told me that there was a possible gas leak in our community. They were not completely sure if it was a gas leak or not, and they were going to have it looked at. But didn't even think about letting their residents know until I had to call to find out for myself.
If you live facing South Peak, you will be restless with a view of loud and obnoxious construction that starts when the sun comes up.
The grounds are absolutely filthy, the stairwell looks like something you would see in the ghetto. There are times the entire stairwell smells like marijuana. I was appalled by the lack of disrepesct from residents who signed their lease stating that they could face warnings that could lead to eviction if they smoke on a,"non-smoking property". These rules are not enforced whatsoever. Come on, we all share vents and we have children and pets. Please take it elsewhere.
Parking is a COMPLETE joke. We have been told since before move in, that there would be new parking ideas that would make it more accomodable for the 200+ spots we have now, with only sixteen guest parking spots. Not much has been done about it.
My advice, look elsewhere that is safer and has a service staff that wants to help you when needed.
