| - Nobuo is a food experience!
The restaurant is very simple. Minimal art/decorations, small seating arrangements and a very low occupancy. There were two menu types when we went: the "Individual" menu or the "Shareable" menu. But with both menus offered, there were still not a ton of options to pick from.
The food is very simplistic. Few ingredients are used, but the flavors are strong and natural. The plates are small, some being just a few bites. And each course is timed to come out separately.
We tried a variety of items (Grapefruit & Hamachi, Yellow Tail Ceviche, Pork Belly wrapped in Banana Leaf, Chicken Nanban, Clam & Mushrooms, etc.) The best item on the menu, hands down, is the Grapefruit & Hamachi!!! If you only order one thing (because it is a slightly pricey menu) - make sure you order the Hamachi!
After our dinner I was sad to say that Nobuo was a little over-rated. But it was exciting to see Chef Nobuo walking through the restaurant talking to the guests. I'll admit, I fangirled, but just a little bit. ;)
