  • So, a little over a month ago I purchased a brand new CX-5. The deal and sale went over smoothly enough, Freddy was fantastic and the car is great. The reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 5, is because of the deceit that I was told. I was very hesitant to trade in my previous car, and while the cx-5 has been incredible I hate having to use my phone for navigation and radio, I'd rather be hands free and pay attention to the road. Yet, I was told that most people prefer the opposite so navigation and XM do not come standard. I eventually was given Navigation and was told that one the deal was funded I would receive XM. Well, no one ever called and I went in twice to ask about XM while always being told I had to wait a bit longer. Now, today is the day I am getting XM installed and I get a call saying I have to put an add on onto my center console, because my car does not come with XM, when in the radio there is an XM option. I'm furious, not only is my console going to be more cluttered, and I've already been paying for XM since I bought a year subscription back in October, I'm having to get some BS add on unit that no one ever told me about. It's upsetting were in the year 2018 and I still have to get an extra unit with a cable, instead of a chip that plugs straight into the radio, with an already preset XM option. I guess the "NO BULL" motto is true because they straight up didn't tell me about the additional BS I would have to need, and not only that. They don't do the install on site, they send it off site so now I'm without my vehicle for a day, and never once did anyone mention that. So not only do I have to deal with the BS of having an add-on unit to my console because my car "didn't come preset with XM" after I was told I could easily add it, I have to take an extra vacation day because I have no way to work, home from work, then wait for the ride to the dealership, and as much as I would use UBER, I don't see why I need to pay extra money for all of this crap. So while the dealership sells you what you get, it is a great car, I am mostly happy with it, but for someone who is driving and really only wants the little things, it sucks to know I was led astray and not necessarily lied to but they surely didn't tell me the whole process. If you're going to buy a car here, I'd recommend it but just make sure you actually know what you're getting or allowed to get because Mazda's will short you on a lot of items. P.S.- They'll give you Aha and Stitcher which are both useless, completely worthless apps that don't work, fail constantly, and just take up space, but won't give you XM and Nav because they want to charge you to get your money. I'm almost wishing I traded my last car for any other car now... I'd be getting the same space, same MPG (or close enough) and I could have XM, Nav, wireless charging, and android auto already included, instead I have bluetooth and get to use my data!
