Ok- I am exhausted- it is 9pm pacific time and my body is on eastern time and my bones have sat in a middle seat in the back of an airplane by the bathroom for 6 hours- all I want is sleep. I pull in to this Comfort Inn in Phoenix and wouldn't you know it- a tour bus of at least 50 non English speaking Chinese tourists beat me to the front desk with only one check in person! Embarrassed to admit it- but I shed a few tears and - never passed my lips- but - my brain started cussing like it usually does when I go off my medications. I started to go back out to the parking lot to the travel lodge next door- when the front desk clerk- Shante- stopped what she was doing and waved me over. She registered me in as a guest in less than one minute- I did have a reservation and apparently she was expecting me! Thank you Shante - for realizing that one of these guests"is not like the others". And my room was clean, quiet, comfortable! Great place, great location- and the towels were so fluffy I could barely get my suitcase closed! (Just teasing)
