  • This review is not for the furniture, it's for the service. Sofa was great and comfortable but the service really put a sour taste in our mouths. Also, let's face is - you can get same exact furniture anywhere (aka we found same sofa for $100 less at Pruit's after already purchasing) Our sales person started out kind and helpful but once we stated we wanted to check out Ashley's next door, he started to become passive aggressive making my husband feel awkward and uncomfortable for wanting to check our options. We ended up choosing Room Store for the price. We purchased a sofa, coffee table/side table and ordered two chairs that were promised within 2 weeks max. We received the sofa and coffee table and side table same day and the coffee table just didn't look right. We immediately called the store and we were told, oh just keep them until your chairs get in and they will pick them up. Okay, not a problem. About a week after we called to check on status of chairs and were told they wouldn't be ready for another 2 weeks which was after the time we needed it. We went in to cancel the order as it wouldn't work for us and brought in the coffee table and side table as well since we wouldn't have chairs dropped off. Chairs were cancelled, no problem. Then we were told we couldn't return the tables because it was 8 days and you can only return within 5 days. We explained that we called and we were told to hang on to the tables. Asst store manager said no, it's been more than 5 days and the salesperson isn't here and I need to see that he actually talked to you... She promised she'd call us back the next day. No one called. The day after that, we called to follow-up and the asst store manager was busy with a customer and again, we were promised a call back. Again, no call. At this point, we took the tables back to the store. Salesperson was there and as soon as he found out that we returned chairs he started to get an attitude with us. He said he couldn't return it without the manager there. After several phones calls not being returned + and visits to the store, we were FINALLY able to return the tables. We were given many excuses and passive aggressive remarks throughout the whole process. We will not be back.
