| - Reviewing on Sunday Brunch as these are the only times I've visited LAVO. Time to review up after the 4th and BEST visit this year. (so far) I visited on a Sunday at 11 AM without reservations catching up with my favorite flexitarian yelper. https://adaywithdiana.yelp.com/ =)
Service: 5/5 We were seated immediately on a Sunday at 11 AMish without a reservation by the friendly hostesses at the front. Erich R (name from check) was fantastic and provided the best brunch experience I've had so far this year. He was witty and kept the mimosa glasses filled all morning. I was taking it easy, so I only had about 6 but Erich kept checking on us and making us laugh. One of the managers in a suit also stopped by to check on us. At the end, Erich gave us a bonus mimosa in a to go cup without us asking, that's what I'm talking about.
Food: 4.5/5 Here's my current brunch faves:
"Back to School": Truffled Grilled Cheese, Applewood Bacon with Calabrian tomato soup on the side. Wow, sounds so simple but was so bomb .Everything compliments each other so well. If I tried making this simple sandwich at home with ingredients from my local Smith's, disaster af.. When you use high quality ingredients and prep it perfectly, you get next level stuff.
Chicken & Waffles: Cliche foodie breakfast dish, but once again, ingredients and preparation.
Chocolate Chip Pancakes: I always share these and it's a win win for everyone.
What's odd to me is that most of the portions are on the smaller side, but I always end up getting full very quickly.
Value: 5/5 Considering you're in a beautiful high end restaurant, at a premium resort on the Las Vegas strip, the average dish was $13-$17 which is fair imo. $30 gets you bottomless options of: Mimosas, Kir Royales and Rose Sangrias. The consistent top notch service is what really brings the value home for me. When you leave a brunch in a better mood before walking in (and I'm happy af in general) that's great value. Hold onto it, and don't let it go....
Ambiance: 5/5 Attractiveness at every point of contact. The hostesses, the bar, the tables, the decorations, the server uniforms, the bathroom with the huge well sinks, etc Very high end classy but yet inviting vibe. No douche vibe in such a lovely high end establishment...
Lavo is 4 for 4 this year for brunches. Food is always on point and the service has always been top notch. This is one of the few high end restaurants on the Strip that is hitting on all cylinders. It's just a matter of time until I time a Lavo dinner in there, but that's another yelp mf tale..=)
