  • Sorry South Main Cycles, I have a number of dislikes about you. To start off, their weekday business hours are from 10a-5p (open until 7p on Tuesdays), which is fine if you don't work a "normal" job, but most of us professional folks do (and the bulk of your customers). Why not have be open from 11a-7p Mon-Thur and close early on Fridays? That's just my opinion.... I had them install a tubular road bike tire a few months back which quickly started to peel off and rotate around the center line of the wheel (basically the center of the tread was no longer lined up with the center of the wheel). I had to repair it myself, which was a huge PITA and time I would've spent riding and not worrying about my tire falling off mid ride. I have had positive experiences here, and the staff is always friendly and seem knowledgeable about cycling related subject matter. This place is so close to my house that's it's hard not to stop by if I need something fixed (like a broken wheel spoke, bar tape repair, etc).
