If you like or love sushi, DO NOT eat here. My best friend and I ate here for dinner tonight despite the bad reviews thinking the good reviews would prevail and they didn't. We first walked in and I immediately felt that it was a little warmer than I'd like the temp to be in a restaurant let alone a sushi restaurant. We got seated pretty quick and the service was a little over solicited. The edamame could have been in better shape, a lot of the pods were missing beans and they tasted a little like dirty dish water. The crab puffs were just gross, they tasted like they had freezer burn and honestly seemed as if they were store bought not fresh at all. The avocado roll was basic because it was just a basic roll and it lived up to what it was. The tootsie roll, shrimp tempura roll and tataki roll all had a funny taste to them like the ingredients that was used to make them was about to turn, as in go bad. The only thing that was stellar about this place was the Sprite I had to drink and one Kirin my friend had to drink. The temp in the restaurant kept getting warmer and finally I saw an employee go to the thermostat and turn down the setting to get the air conditioner on and then when it finally started cooling down, I saw another employee right back over to the thermostat and turn the setting up to make the air conditioner turn off. Makes you think, Arizona on a summer night and a sushi restaurant, you might want it to be cool for the customers to enjoy their meal. Obviously this place is NEVER again. We ate the avocado roll but left half of the tootsie roll, half of the shrimp tempura roll and more than half of the tataki roll. Perhaps that's why it took so long to get our check, they must have thought we were still "working" on our "food". I honestly think that $60 with tax and tip was way over priced for the lackluster food that we received. I truly feel cheated and I want my money back.
