  • I have visited this SmartStyle location on about 4 occasions. Many times I've come with my sister who brings my niece to get a blow out and her ends clipped. The other two times I've come they have been minor services for myself, or I would come to ask about the pricing for a particular service. Yesterday I came in, I planned on getting an undercut, ends clipped and my hair deep conditioned. Being Black, you often have people acting as if they just can't work with your hair. I don't see the problem if you're certified in the job I'm asking you to do. Besides my hair is relaxed so it should be that much easier. Anyhow I saw Drea. She was very nice and stated she could do the job in which I asked. The first issue that I occurred, was during my shampoo, she didn't use any elbow grease, and I doubt my hair was even cleared of shampoo in the back. From there I went to the hooded dryer which was uneventful. After that I sat down to have my hair blow dried and clipped. She had the blow dryer on low and then she cut it so high in temperature that my face burned...not literally. I sat through that because, its nothing to me to really cry about. Next she did my undercut...or attempted to. She pulled out the clipped and buzzed straight down and put them away. I had to ask her if she could edge it up as I had shown her in the picture that I'd brought along. She lined it up, but it was such a horrible job that I didn't get out of the car except to go back home. The last thing she was to do was clip my ends. She told me if she clipped them because of the way my hair was, that my hair would have multiple layers. Of course I didn't want to walk around with a stairway head so I agreed that she should just do the perimeter. All in all, I felt so horrible, I still do so I am out looking to fix what I paid for. I'm going to try Ulta and even shorter so my fingers are crossed. I will never come back here EVER!
