Located next to what can be an outrageously long check-in line at the Palazzo, Morels steak house definitely commands the "Las Vegas Premium." The food is -okay-, but the decor and views definitely feel right in place at a hotel as grand as the Palazzo.
I went to Morel's at around 11:30am on Sunday after checkout. There wasn't too much of a crowd, and we were able to get seated right away. The waitress seemed pretty uninformed on the menu, and she flat out didn't know about the 4 course summer special advertised at the entrance of the restaurant.
I ended up ordering a fish and chips, and the food was not bad. The fish was over-fried and a bit tasteless, but good with some S&P and the home-made tartar sauce. The quantity of food was definitely more than I expected.
Overall decent to stop at if you're passing by, are hungry, and have $30 to shove into slightly-above-average food.
