  • The one day we decide to go atving is the one day it rains in Vegas go figure!!! Anyway, can I just say that what made the experience great were the tour guides. The shuttle van picked us up at the Excalibur hotel, and even though we were a little late the driver (Chris? ) waited. He was very friendly and engaged us in conversation the entire time. He even stopped at a little gas station for us to use the bathroom and get any necessary items we needed. Good thing because I picked up some gloves and a hat as it was a little chilly and rainy that December day. Once we got to the location, the guides explained to us how to work the ATV, what to do if something went wrong, etc. They handed out gloves, eyegear, and helmet. The guides even let a couple of the girls borrow their coats and sweatshirts, because it was cold and so we wouldn't get much dirt (mud in our case) on our own clothes. Boy, was I ever so grateful for that sweatshirt!!! They broke the group up into two smaller groups, one for those who wanted go a bit faster and one for those who wanted to go a bit slower. For some reason, I had these thoughts of me careening down some mountain on the ATV so I quickly chose the slow group. One of guides sensed my nervousness and was very assuring and came over personally to explain again what the other guide said. The views on the tour were pretty much amazing, and my nervousness subsided pretty quickly as the adrenaline of riding the atv came over me. Somewhere along the line, we had lunch consisting of sandwhich, chips, cookie and pasta salad. They offered water each time we stopped. My only regret was not going with the faster group because there was one in our group who was very nervous and didn't go too fast. Since we all had to stay together, the rest of us didn't go too fast either. Though I booked through Groupon, I definitely would have paid full price for this experience. I almost didn't book because I couldn't imagine myself on ATV for five hours. I am pretty sure I was on there longer or so it seemed because I enjoyed every minute of it. When I do come back to Vegas, I will be sure to book another Adrenaline ATV tour. Next time, I hope the guides are as friendly, and cute (Oops, did I say that? LOL)
