  • If anyone knows the YYY crew, you'll know they're probably the most consistent and longest running DJs/Event curators to put on a monthly LGBT party that encourages unity! Black, Brown, White or Yellow!!!! Gay, Straight male or female. EVERYONE is welcomed! No matter where you come from there is ALWAYS peaceful vibe you experience at these parties! I've supported them probably for the last 7 years and have never heard of a shooting furthermore even a fight breaking out at these events! Saturday they held their annual pride party at your venue. Yes coming out of our "Comfort Zone" of what many know as Church St. It appears your "hired help" aka security aka your job is to make sure the party goers are SAFE in your establishment, took this as an opportunity to abuse their power of authority by turning attendees away for no given reason. Some experienced racial slurs and homophobic attacks! I can rant forever, but that wouldn't do much. This is NOT ok and shouldn't happen again. I suggest the management of Lee's Palace do what they can to not only come to some sort of resolution with the YYY crew but to reassure the citizens of a very diverse Toronto that they are safe and welcomed to come out to your establishment. A peaceful resolution is the first step, with no attempt to rectify this situation encourages further action. I have pretty wide network or PR's and Journalist who would love to cover this story.
