| - In theory, this place has a lot of potential. It's a different atmosphere from the other bars in Kent and it is in a great location. I'm giving them some benefit of the doubt because I was here on a very busy night. That said, on this busy night there was only one person behind the bar and one lonely server and the place was packed.
I showed up with a group of people and perused the menu, all of which sounded good. We decided to share some food and ordered the hummus, bruscetta, and fondue. I also ordered a coke, as I was unable to drink alcohol that night. It took us nearly ten minutes to get the bartender to take our order, as the server was busy. I got my coke right away and it was both warm and flat. The bartender even seemed confused I had ordered it. It was listed on the menu, so I'm not sure what the issue was.
Our food took a long while, but given how busy it was we weren't surprised. The fondue came first ... in a little cast iron pot with no heat source. The cheese basically congealed immediately and wasn't warm for most of the meal. There was a candle present under it, but it wasn't lit. There was no way to bring this to the staff's attention at this point, and when they finally brought out the rest of the food it was too late to really do anything about it. The other food was satisfactory.
There is very little seating in the place that lends itself to actually be able to see the stage area, so keep that in mind when you're making plans.
