| - I heard about this place from my sister. She came all the way from San Diego to go to The Sugar Spa because she had researched sugaring and was so impressed with Jenny's reviews. Once she went she said she would never go anywhere else again. I couldnt agree more.
I went once and I'll never go anywhere else. The entire experience and the final product was better than anywhere else I've been. It isnt painful like waxing. It takes forever to grow back and the more you go the less it seems to grow back. Jenny takes the time to get to know you and finds out all about your skin before even starting, so you know you're getting the work done that is specific to your needs. And honestly, you're getting what you pay for. Jenny doesnt cut corners and lower her quality just to stay competitive. In fact, I wouldnt even say she is in the same market as other salons. It's apples to oranges - you go to a cheap, quick salon/chain if you want something cheap (price/quality) and quick. You pay less for low quality. But for a little more you could get a more professional experience that will look better, feel better, be tailored to your skin type, and last longer. Plus she is a caring advisor if you ever have any questions. How many salons really care about the follow up? In my experience, she is in a category totally beyond all of the others.
Her rates are fantastic for what you get, anyway. I go to her because I am comfortable with her; it wont be a new person each time (like with some bigger places), she is an expert (and meticulous) at what she does, I can call her and she answers any questions I may have before/during/after, and she only uses the best products.
Plus I'd rather support a smaller business than go to a chain!
