  • Took a day off of work to relax at the Spa. Came on a Monday morning around 9 and it was not busy at all. I have read in other reviews and have heard from friends it gets quiet busy on weekends with girls groups that could get loud. I definitely did not experience that. It did get a lot busier as I was leaving around 2pm. Got a quick tour of the building and got my locker. The locker itself was super small and kind of awkward to fit my large swim bag and purse. I was able to shove it all in, but they definitely need to invest in larger lockers. Also, they grouped a lot of people together cause when I was getting stuff out throughout the day there was always multiple people right next to my locker where I needed to get into which was annoying considering they have a lot of lockers and there were not that many people. The attendant told me that it was clothing optional which I was surprised. I did not think about this option when I decided to come here. I decided i would let the girls come out as screw it, you only live once.. and like I know anyone! LOL. So, started in the spa, which the Jets did not work. No jets on my back. Lame lame lame. It was still pretty relaxing to be in the hot water. Throughout the couple hours I was there I went from the spa, to steam room, to igloo, to experimental rains, to sauna and to aroma chamber. I usually like steam rooms but the steam room felt really too hot, steamy and bright for me to really relax. The Sauna was great for me, I laid down with a cool towel on my face and zoned out. I went down to the other room down the hallway to go into the wave room. I laid on the amazing chairs, but I couldn't figure out how to get the waves projected. I finally went and asked someone and they advised it was out of service. LAME. I stopped in the salt grotto for about 10 minutes which was a couple of couples. It was ok. I didn't really get the point. it was warm, didn't smell like salt or anything? I dunno. I stopped at the spa store and checked out some items and sampled them. They got a lot of nice aromatherapy oil. i slathered some on and then went to take a shower. At the showers they supply shampoo, body wash, conditioner, caps and razors. There is a bench in the shower area that is near the front of the stall. i moved that bad boy under the actual shower head and sat my happy ass down for a long shower. It was really nice except I kept losing water pressure. It is amazing to take a shower with no one bothering me. They have blow dryers, cotton swabs, q tips, lotion, sunscreen, hairspray, and gel out and a bunch of other items you can get from the front desk. I brought my own brush and straightener. I did go to the desk and ask for some moose. i was given a small cup of moose that pretty much covered just the tip of my hair as I have a LOT of hair. Oh Well. No bathing suit dryers for my bottoms, but the attendant gave me a bag to put it in. Overall, it was a really relaxing day for $36 bucks. Locals get a discount on the admission price. They have a bunch of local specials too. its best to call and see what promotions they are having.
