  • I enjoyed my dinner! As others have said, the ambiance is really amazing...you feel like you're eating at a restaurant in the streets of Italy! There's even a fake "sky" on the ceiling. haha. This restaurant fits in nicely with the rest of the Venetian- very classy. We came here after watching Mystere and it was 9 pm...we were tired and didn't want to wait 30-40 minutes for a table so we agreed to sit at the bar. That was cool because we got a good view of the olympics and got to chat with the bartender. He told us that his favorite dish was the pear ravioli (though we didn't go with his recommendation). I ordered the Filetto di Branzino al Proseco E Zafferano which is a seabass served over sautéed spinach. The fish was fresh and cooked to perfection. So moist! The portion of fish was pretty generous and I thought I'd only eat half of it but ended up eating all of it...not wanting it to go to waste. I recommend this if you want something refreshing and light. My bf got the Petto di Pollo al Peperocino which is a free-range spicy chicken breast over sautéed spinach. He wasn't that wowed by his dish but he got what he ordered: chicken. I had a taste of it and it is pretty spicy...so be warned if you are not a fan of spice. I also enjoyed the bread that they give you before your meal. It's definitely freshly baked: crunchy on the outside and warm and fluffy on the inside. On this Vegas trip, Canaletto was one of my favorite meals. I would come back because the food was good and fresh...but also because I'm low key obsessed with the Venetian... :)
