  • I used to come here all the time for the gumbo but because of a combination of having kids (not kid-friendly) and hearing rumors that it wasn't aa good anymore, I stayed away. Well recently a friend who is a huge jambalaya connoisseur had a birthday, so what is a nice girl like me to do? Naturally I turned to my handy-dandy Yelp app, poured through various reviews of restaurants serving up this dish, made my choice, decided to give it another try and took him out to lunch at the Oyster bar! His jambalaya was a very good but the main event was definitely the shrimp pan roast! I ordered the pan roast at the recommendation of the woman behind the counter. Thankfully, I only looked at the stars when making my decision to eat here (yes, normally I like to read the reviews first ) had I read the reviews first I might not have walked in the door as I did not have three hours to wait in line. Karma and good timing were our side today as we walked right in and we're promptly seated. In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator... "I'll be back!"
