There's been a lot of rock shows coming through Vegas lately most of them being well produced and well received ie Rock of Ages and Raiding the Rock Vault. Even though I didn't grow up in the era of heavy rock or even consider myself a fan Im a sucker for a live show. This show was just okay. I saw a tag line that went something to the tune of :If you like Jersey Boys you'll like The Bronx Wanderers. Well, they aren't even close to the Jersey Boys or even Human Nature vocally. They did sing Bohemian Rhapsody but it didn't sound live. While a pleasant show to watch some of the tunes went waaaay back and I mean to the 50s and the Windows Showroom at Bally's wasn't the best. Its probably one of the worst showrooms in Vegas. There's a huge column in the middle of the room that blocks your view of the right side of the stage. I couldn't see the music director for the majority of the show and he sang a few songs solo and the band is playing parallel to the main singer so there sound drowns out the vocals. I read a few bits before the show expecting it to have a story line of some sort as they compared themselves to Jersey Boys, but there wasnt one. In fact I thought the show was oddly arranged as they ended the show explaining who they are via a TV montage and then coming out in nice suits instead of starting their show like that. Overall, it was a nice show.....if you know the music.
