My honey and I stayed here two nights last weekend. Overall our visit was good.
Two bones to pick:
1) When I called to inquire if the TV carried HBO so that we could view the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony Saturday night, the young woman stated "No." So we made plans to eat dinner out. It turns out they do carry HBO. So please educate your staff how to look up TV stations!
2) We ordered room service. We were looking forward to a delicious dinner while viewing the HBO program Saturday night. What a sad experience! Instead of having a white tablecloth-covered table wheeled in with our meals tucked into silver domes beautifully displayed, we received a black shopping bag with takeout fare. Are you kidding me? While we were warned the food "is not plated," what choice did we have? The food, while delicious, had all the appeal of an impersonal to-go dinner. The bottle of wine were just plopped in the bag and we had to open it ourselves. We were given plastic flatware and weird napkins made out of a synthetic material that was not at all absorbent. The kicker was that no water was served. All in all, the "room service" was a bust. If we had wanted Grub Hub, we would have ordered that!
When we mentioned this to the front desk as we checked out the next morning, we were informed that this new program was rolled out in all the Marriotts about three months ago. Marriott, please, revisit this bone-headed decision. Not welcoming at all!
