  • This review is for the massage services, and the awful front manager lady. The actual masseuss was fine, but nothing remarkable and I certainly wont be back due to the manager/owner/receptionist lady (not sure who she was, she had some sort of authority but was obviously unintelligent and rude). After a horrifically stressful move, my finance wanted to surprise me with a 1.5 hour massage. He scheduled and paid for it, since he knew I would never blow that much money on something for myself, so the main point he emphasized over and over again to the receptionist that the cost was a secret and that I MUST not be given any receipts, bills, anything. He wanted me to walk into a massage, and walk out calm and happy. Very basic request for a day spa, right? The massage room was alright, but the table was worse than some fold up ones I've been on before. It wasnt cushy, no heat, and my ribs hurt from laying on a hard surface that long. As before, the masseuss was fine, she was able to get out some knots and stuff, but not worth how uncomfortable the table was. When I got out of the massage, I asked the masseuss if when my fiance paid, if a tip was left already. She had no idea what i was talking about, looked really puzzled, then walked away into the back, leaving me standing ackwardly in the entry area. I wandered up to reception, and the rude front desk lady looks up and says "that will be $140 (something or other)". Already confused by the masseuss, I said "I thought my finance had pre-paid for this?" She argued with me briefly before remembering who he was (he booked it the day before in person-- come on!) and laughed and said something about it supposing to be a surprise (no apology, but apparently she found it numerous and started laughing). I walked out crying, as moving is stressful enough, and the last hour was NOT worth the money. This really great tranquil thought from my finance was single handedly blown by this really dumb lady. They're not a high traffic place- other than not caring, there's no way this should have happened. I don't know how freaking hard it is to keep a secret, but they can't do it here, and the massage service I received was more unpleasant than it was calming, so there is no way in the world I will be back. I would never EVER consider booking any salon services here, as dealing with the staff is tough, and I would hate to see how it would go if I was dissapointed with my hair or something. What a stressful place.
