  • The lack of organization and proffesionalism of staff made the show hard to enjoy. We waited so long to pick up our tickets at the front box office. We arrived 20 minutes before the show but didn't enter until about 15 minutes after the show started. There were 2 people working at the counter and a very long line of people trying to pick up their tickets for the same show we were watching. The 2 men in front of us in line let 5 or 6 of their friends cut in line while they were at the counter taking up both windows. Their friends were just arriving and did not wait at all. They just waltzed up to the front of the line and were helped since their friends were there. Staff should not have allowed that to happen. Staff was well aware of the situation since everyone in line shouted complaints. They responded with, "we're doing the best we can and we don't want to start any fights". They had no control over the situation and should have made them wait in line like everyone else. After one widow opens up, another older gentleman also walks up to the counter who was not in line. He also lets his friend cut in line. Whose job is it to keep order in their ticketing system?! After finally receiving our tickets, the bottom concession rudely denies selling us refreshments saying that she's closed and we'd have to order drinks from the cocktail waitress in the theater. There was no such waitress to be found for the duration of the show. We did not have any refreshments. Once we entered the theater, there were people in our seats. They insisted those were their seats and I didn't want to make a fuss since the show had already started. Although, our seat numbers were clearly printed on our tickets. There was no usher or staff helping people with their seating assignments. There were 4 of us and we sat separately because someone chose to sit in our seats. Seating assignments were not regulated. Besides that, people were all arriving late since they were all stuck at the ticketing window. It was hard to see the stage with all the people walking around trying to find their seats. I don't even remember what happened in the first half of the show. My mind was reeling from all the events that just took place. I would not recommend seeing anything at the Saxe Theater. It is not worth the frustration. All the unfortunate events really ruined the entire show for me. Needless to say, I was completely irritated by the entire situation I wanted to walk out. We were celebrating my daughter's 21st birthday, though seated seperately, so I didn't want to put a damper on events. I would really like a refund!
