  • Really 2 1/2 stars and that's just for Carl who came in to salvage the situation. Well I should have read the reviews before I went in but I purchased my previous car here and that went fine so I thought this would too. The actual buying of the car went fine but after I signed the paperwork it went downhill. I had been emailing with Carl in internet sales and had some rough numbers on the two types of cars I was looking at so I had some info going in. I went in on a Saturday afternoon and did the test drive thing (Carl was with someone else so he had another salesman help me) and decided on the car I wanted. I was told that the car I wanted had not been "prepped" yet so I couldn't test it or even see it but they had the same model and options just in a different color so I tried that one and all was good. Did all the paperwork and all that and was done, start to finish about 4 hours, not too bad. Since my car was not available to take home on Saturday and they were closed Sunday the salesman and I agreed on me picking it up Monday (President's Day) morning. Due to some issues with out of town guests I did not get to the dealership as early as I planned so I called to say I would be late and make sure the car was ready. My salesman was not available so I was transferred to a manager who said he would talk to the salesman and someone would get back to me. I had the day off so I could wait a bit. However 2 1/2 hours later and still no word so I called back and now no one was available to take my call so I left a voicemail. 45 minutes later and the day was wasting so I just headed over there. Waited around for a while to talk to the salesman who tells me that not only is the car not ready it isn't even there, it had not been delivered to the dealership yet. Apparently the paperwork was wrong that showed it delivered. Ok, mistakes happen, when will it be in and ready for me? Later that day but no time guarantee. Ok, just call me and let me know as soon as you have a time frame and I went about my day. Hours later I get a call, which my husband answered so I don't know what was actually said, but it came down to my car would not be delivered that day so it would be tomorrow (Tuesday). I was not happy but what could I do at this point, my husband let the salesman know we were not pleased and hung up after a promise of a call the next day with an update. Tuesday rolls around and I'm back at work. Haven't gotten a call all day so at lunch I call. Car should be in today but they don't know when but they will call me. I tell them I would appreciate a call with an update not just one when it arrives, I'm told sure thing. I get a call about 5:00 and I'm assuming it's to tell me my car is ready, NOPE. This time it is Carl telling me my car will not be in that day. BUT this time I get some details about the delay and a guarantee of when my car will be ready the next day (Wednesday). So I bought my car on Saturday and will be able to pick it up on Wednesday, a car that was supposedly just waiting to be prepped. The call from Carl was the first time I got an apology for the situation and the first time I felt as if anyone actually cared about what was happening, everyone else had a very flippant "you get your car when you get it" attitude (and sounding annoyed when I called to get an update) which is really what got me angry. Mistakes happen and if someone had gone to the trouble of finding out what was happening and gave me an actual delivery date with an apology for the delay I would have been a lot less pissed off. It just felt like the papers had been signed so they couldn't be bothered with me anymore. In the end Carl did what he could to soothe the situation, though really just the fact the he actually seemed sorry about what happened and made an effort to find out what was going on helped more than "extra stuff" did. But after this I think I will go somewhere else when it's time for a new car unless Carl is still there and he is the only person I work with.
