  • Our first experience at Beaver Choice was about a week after they opened in their original location. It was cramped (the 4 of us had to share a table with another family); the service was disgraceful, and 2 of the meals were complete inedible. If ever a restaurant deserved to close quickly, this was it. It took a couple of years before the positive reviews made us curious enough to try again. Just my husband and I this time. We were amazed with the improvement - better facilities, better service, and the food was a huge improvement. A couple of things still cause me to only put in a 3-star rating: My husband's entrĂ©e (the pork belly) was terribly overloaded with onion, and while I have nothing against frozen peas, they are not a salad and it's silly to list them as such on the menu. The green bean salad features canned green beans - really?! My pierogies were very good (which surprised us because on our first visit they were complete mush). Overall, the improvements were considerable, and we may return again.
